The methods adopted in housing research are very often either boring or extremely boring. I was therefore genuinely interested to read a new paper written by Dr Adriana Mihaela Soaita and Dr Kim McKee, which uses 'photo elicitation' to help identify how "less affluent people create a sense of home" within the private rented sector. Even if the topic or framing isn't for everyone, the approach is very interesting and something I might try to incorporate in future research. The paper can be accessed here...
